Dope Rap Verses Part II: Vaught Edition

Going off the post that my boy Ross the boss did earlier, I have decided to contribute my own list of some great rap verses. Since Ross used some of my favs already I want use those again, but I will be adding some new ones.

All right, first up is Childish Gambino, From the song My Shine:

Gambeezy make it work somethin’, let me check the syntax
Don’t add an eezy to my name ’cause it has never been that
Aladdin on you fuckers, prince of the game from street rat
Dudes fall off, too steep like tea bags
Steady movin’, don’t worry about where I’mma be
‘Cause I’mma be on these tracks like indie girls on Amelie
Honesty, I’m rappin’ ’bout everything I go through
Everything I’m sayin’ I’m super sayin’ like Goku
Fuck nerdcore, fuck backpack
Fuck rap cool, I make cool rap
I make music for wack blacks to blast back
In fact, I swear the track I lie on’s my last track

Now another Childish Gambino song, this one is from Not Going Back:

I was never gonna stay the same
All I ever really wanted was to change the game
Spent the year kickin’ ass and takin’ names
Try to tell it to your heart, Taylor Dayne
Mama told me I was special when them test scores came in
Callin’ me the new Will Smith, that’s Jaden
Callin’ me a faggot when I’m rappin’, that’s hatin’
I need to slow down, what the fuck is y’all sayin’?
Step inside the party, y’all niggas is mood killers
My lifestyle simple, live easy and Bruce Willis
I’m the boss, Michael Scott, y’all bitches is just Phyllis
Set the world on fire, y’all motherfuckers is chillin’, what is this?
That’s why these fuckin’ MCs want their asses back
Don’t you know that I’m a rapist, ask a track
Whiskey-sippin’, wanna drink the whole bottle
But these smart middle-class black kids need a role model
“I didn’t know he had it in ‘im”
Couldn’t see me as Spider-Man, but now I’m spittin’ venom

Now moving on to Lil Wayne's verse from No Love:

Yeah, put a dick in their mouth, so I guess it's "fuck what they say"
I'm high as a bitch: up, up and away
Man, I come down in a couple of days
OK, you want me up in a cage, then I'll come out in beast mode
I got this world stuck in the safe, combination is the G-code
It's Weezy motherfucker, blood gang and I'm in bleed mode
All about my dough but I don't even check the peephole
So you can keep knocking but won't knock me down
No love lost, no love found

Now Em's verse from No Love:

I'm alive again
More alive than I have been in my whole entire life
I can see these people's ears perk up as I begin
To spaz with the pen, I'm a little bit sicker than most
Shit's finna get thick again
They say the competition is stiff
But I get a hard dick from this shit, now stick it in
I ain't never giving in again
Caution to the wind, complete freedom
Look at these rappers, how I treat them
So why the fuck would I join them when I beat them
They call me a freak because
I like to spit on these pussies fore I eat them
Man get these whack cocksuckers off stage
Where the fuck is Kanye when you need him?
Snatch the mic from him, bitch I'mma let you finish in a minute
Yeah that rap was tight
But I'm 'bout to spit the greatest verse of all time
So you might want to go back to the lab tonight and um
Scribble out them rhymes you were going to spit
And start over from scratch and write new ones
But I'm afraid that it ain't gonna make no difference
When I rip this stage and tear it in half tonight
It's an adrenaline rush to feel the bass thump
In the place all the way to the parking lot, fellow
Set fire to the mic and ignite the crowd
You can see the sparks from hot metal
Cold-hearted from the day I Bogarted the game
I so started to rock fellow
When I'm not even in my harshest
You can still get roasted 'cause Marsh is not mellow
Til I'm toppling from the top I'm not going to stop
I'm standing on my Monopoly board
That means I'm on top of my game and it don't stop
Til my hip don't hop anymore
When you so good that you can't say it
Because it ain't even cool for you to sound cocky anymore
People just get sick cause you spit
These fools can't drool or dribble a drop anymore
And you can never break my stride
You never slow the momentum at any moment I'm about to blow
You'll never take my pride
Killing the flow, slow venom and the opponent
Is getting no mercy, mark my words
Ain't letting up, relentless

Alright now I'm using two verses from the classic Wu-Tang song Da Mystery of Chessboxin' the first is from Masta Killa, the second is from Inspectah Deck

Homicide's illegal and death is the penalty
What justifies the homicide, when he dies?
In his own iniquity it's the
Master of the Mantis Rapture coming at you
We have an APB on an MC Killer
Looks like the work of a Master
Evidence indicates that's it's stature
Merciless like a terrorist hard to capture
The flow, changes like a chameleon
Plays like a friend and stabs you like a dagger
This technique attacks the immune system
Disguised like a lie paralyzing the victim
You scream as it enters your bloodstream
Erupts your brain from the pain these thoughts contain
Moving on a nigga with the speed of a centipede
and injure
any motherfuckin' contender

Well I'm a sire, I set the microphone on fire
Rap styles vary, and carry like Mariah
I come from the Shaolin slum, and the isle I'm from
is coming through with nuff niggas and nuff guns
so if you wanna come sweating, stressing, contesting
you'll catch a sharp sword to the midsection
Don't talk the talk, if you can't walk the walk
Phony niggas are outlined in chalk
A man vexed, is what the projects made me
Rebel to the grain there's no way to barricade me
Steamrolling niggas like a eighteen wheeler
with the drunk driver driving, there's no surviving

Now time for some Lil Wayne, from Playing with Fire:

Mama always told me I was crazy,
My hoes say I'm amazing,
But I don't listen to a lady,
But the bitch say I'm hot,
And I say no bitch I'm blazing, like what the fuck do you expect, I'm motherfucking cajun
I feel caged in my mind, it's like my flow doing time, I goes crazy inside,
but when it comes out it's fine, like wine, wait, watch, see
I get better in time like a watch osh-be-gosh-posh
Spice husband couldn't kick it like, I kick it bitch I kicks it.
no cereal like a landing I sticks it.
whatever she asks me, after she licks it.
that's too explicit, well why you listening,

Ok, I think thats enough for now. This post already seems way to long. Will do another one later because there are more lyrics I want to use. Also Ross you need to do another one as well bro.

How Come?

I was wondering why no game has ever made you fight yourself. By this I don't mean like a shadow version of yourself or an evil version but your actual self. Here is an example; you spend the entire game playing as the main character. You put in the time and effort to make this character a boss. Then at the end of the game you find out that the main character you have been playing as is actually the villain of the game, so you take control of a supporting character and have to fight and kill the main character. I think this could be an interesting story arch. But the main reason that I think people don't do this is because it would just piss them off. The closest example I can think of is the first two Def Jam fighting games. In the first Def Jam you spend the entire game trying to beat D-Mob, then in the second game you get a new character and now you work for D-Mob and you have to help him rebuild his empire. At first I was pissed off at this, but as the story progressed I became a fan and thoroughly enjoyed both games.

I must give a shout out to Ross, because he put this idea into my head. Ross's exact words: "Dude! What if in God of War 4 you take control of Kratos's brother and have to kill Kratos?"

I was like FUCK THAT! But after thinking about it, I think it would make an interesting story.

P.S. I haven't put in the time or research to see if any game has made you fight the main character at the end of the game. I'm only going off of my own gaming experiences and as far as I can remember I haven't encountered it, yet.
